Application on the camera is turning off by itself

Sometimes it happens that your camera appears as offline without any reason. When you come to the camera you see that the application is not running on the camera phone. This can happen time by time. The reason for this problem is that some smartphones sometimes decides to shut down some long running applications for its own reasons. Some brands of smartphones do not have this problem while other brands can do this often. This can be very annoying especially when you are not close to the camera to start the app again.

Solution

This problem cannot be solved in the app, because the app cannot influence the behaviour of the smartphone that you use as the camera. Fortunately a solution to this problem was found. To fix this problem, you must enable the Developer options menu and change a specific option. To do this, follow these steps:

Enable the Developer options menu:

  1. Go to "Settings" on your camera phone
  2. Tap "About device" or "About phone"
  3. Tap "Software information"
  4. Tap "Build number" seven times (7x)
  5. Enter your pattern, PIN or password to enable the Developer options menu.
  6. The "Developer options" menu will now appear in your Settings menu.

Then change the specific option

  1. Find item "Background process limit" (it is almost at the bottom of the Developer options menu)
  2. Switch it to "No background processes"
