I would like to monitor my apartment while on vacation and check whether anything is going on there. How can I do that?

To use this application, install it on two smartphones - one smartphone will be your "camera" that you put to the place you want to monitor and guard. Second smartphone will be your "viewer" which you will use to watch what is happening in front of your camera.
You probably want to use some older spare smartphone as the camera and your personal smartphone as the viewer.
After installing the application on both phones, use the same login account in the app on both phones. It is important. Only if you use the same login account, the camera and viewer will see each other.
And that is it. This application works out of the box.
You can later go to the camera settings and see what functions the app offers.

Where can I find the battery optimizer settings on my camera?

A position of Battery Optimizer in the phone's settings menu depends on the Android version and the brand of the phone, so it is hard to say. But generally you should find the Battery Optimizer when you go to the phone settings - Applications - Security Camera CZ - Battery and here click on "No restrictions".

Last holiday my camera stopped to record due to lack of space. I bought this app so I have 3 months of recordings. I would like to be able to reduce the recordings to 1 month for only this device.

This app stores history of detected motions for 15 days (and for 30 days in the paid version). Are you sure that you see a history of recordings of 3 months?? Would you be so kind and send me a screenshot, or, if you want, send me the email address that you use as the login to the app and I will check your account. Normally, the recordings should be automatically deleted after 15 days.

The application does not work, it worked for a week and that s it.

If the application doesn't work reliably, the problem is most usually on the camera phone. Please try to physically restart the camera phone. Also check that the internet connection on the camera side is working and the camera phone has at least two "dashes" of WiFi signal.
If you can specify your issue more precisely, please write me more about the problem. Then I will be able to give you more specific advice.

What is the solution for the mobile flash light when it is not working while the camera is running?

If the flashlight doesn't work as expected in the application, please check if the flashlight on the camera phone works at all! I have not received other similar complains about the flashlight, so I believe it is working well in the app. May be that the flashlight is just broken on the camera phone.

Can I ask you - is your camera online and turned on? You can recognize this status by a green strip on the left side of the main camera panel. When this strip is red, the camera is offline or turned off. In this situation, the live stream cannot be started. In this situation, the camera must be taken to online status first.

I am afraid that deleted media (videos or images) cannot be recovered after they have been deleted.

The camera constantly crashes, turns off and won t turn on again until you go into the application and turn it on.

Please note that it is very important to have the camera plugged into a charger. If it is not plugged into a charger, the camera goes to sleep mode, which causes that the WiFi module is turned off, which causes that the camera seems to be "offline" (unavailable).

How do I use the IP camera function?

When you install this app on a smartphone and start the app in "camera" mode, then this phone can act as an IP camera. You can connect to this phone over WiFi from any media player or from any other viewer that supports IP camera streams.

Why is the video not available? Shows only photos.

If you see the message "Camera is offline" it means that the camera cannot be reached over internet. It is probably disconnected from the WiFi signal or the whole camera phone is turned off (for instance because the phone is not connected to a charger and battery is exhausted). You can wait until the internet connection is back again, or you must go to the camera to see what going on.

I like the program, except that they should make a button where, just as the cameras are turned on or off, there should also be one so that the cameras are updated instantly when they say that all or some are not available.

The problem is that when some camera says "I am unavailable", it means that the camera cannot be reached over Internet and is not possible to send any command to the camera (for instance a command "Wake up"). For this reason, the button you would like to have isn't possible to implement.

(a) Detection is often triggered immediately after switching on Detect + Flashlight, so that auto-exposure of the camera begins adjusting and this change is interpreted as motion. Would help 1-2 second delay I guess. (tried to ignore detection when all areas affected but did not solve that as reflections are detected earlier + stopped detection when whole gate moves)
(b) Detection frequency seems to be very low. Not sure how it works but often I can quickly walk past one of the cameras and it won't even notice me. Sometimes it takes a moment to detect me. Maybe optional detection frequency would be useful?
(c) Detection sensitivity setting is not very intuitive, not sure what it refers to - pixel contrast or speed (not size, it's obvious). Referring to SeeCiTV, again, they have a screen that visualizes a graph of "amount of motion" so when the bar is full alarm is triggered. I would imagine it might be handy to combine detection zone selection screen with sensitivity and frequency settings and output live state of each zone by changing color of its outline from green to red gradually (instead of red now) as amount of motion increases. This way user will have full control and visualization of all the settings being applied. Is this meaningful, shall I elaborate further?

All your three points are absolutely clear to me. Detection frequency is currently hardcoded and cannot be changed. But I take your ideas into a consideration, especially in combination with the point (c) It would be really nice to have the settings page like that. I will download SeeCiTV to see how it is solved there.

I was wondering if I could connect a WiFi camera as well to the app.

I am sorry, but this app doesn't support third party WiFi cameras.

The camera is always on and the app is blocked in background so that if I close all apps it will not close it. I leave the app always on and it functions perfectly all the day. But after the night the cam switches off from the main menu and at the morning I need to switch it on and then click on screen saver as usual.

Please check that you turned off "Battery optimization" for the application Security Camera CZ. Go to the phone settings (of your camera phone) -> Applications -> Security Camera CZ -> Battery - click on "No restrictions" or something like that.

The resolution of 1280x720 could be enough in many cases, but 1920x1080 would be even better. However, I was more concerned about compression quality, especially the frame rate, it is around 4 fps now and something like at least 15 fps would be necessary. I'm comparing it to SeeCiTV app and they have around 20 fps or more. Also, just noticed that it won't upload videos to Google drive (or other remote location) which is very important for security reasons.

I will consider increasing the video quality of the detected motions. I must say that the main reason why the video quality is HD (and not Full HD) and 4 fps is that I try to keep the size of the video files low. With hundreds of thousands of users, the storage capacity on the cloud, where the videos are stored, increases rapidly - and so is the price I pay for it. But I will probably prepare a paid version where the video quality could be full HD and 20 fps.

This is because of the limit of HD quality, which is 120 minutes per week in free version and 480 minutes per week in the paid version. When this limit is reached, the camera shows video in standard definition quality. The counter is reset each Thursday night.

The mobile that I use as a camera keeps turning off motion detection!

Please note that there is a limit of 3000 alarms per day. When this limit is reached, the camera turns off motion detection until the next day.

Many times it does not capture images, and it also does not delete the previous days because it puts them back.

From what you wrote it seems to me that there is some problem in the internet connection. Please would you try to restart both the camera and monitor phones and if you can, also restart the WiFi router. Please check that both the camera and monitor phones have good signal.

My camera won't connect. Why?

If your camera cannot connect, there will be most probably some problem with internet connection on the camera side. Try to physically restart the camera and if you can, also restart the WiFi router that the camera is connected to. This usually fixes the problem. If not, please let me know.

Where can you find recordings and photos from the camera? I cannot find it saved in the monitor.

When the camera detects a motion, it immediately sends the recordings to a private cloud. Your monitor phones show everything what is stored in the private cloud.
So if you don't see something on the monitor, it probably was not recorded by the camera and stored at the private cloud.
In other words - there is no way how to see something more than you already see on the monitor phone.
