The camera records in black and white when night mode is on. By default, night mode automatically turns on when it gets dark. Do you have the camera pointed somewhere dark?

We have finally found out where was the problem. We changed the APN address to the alternative one provided by our ISP, and captures have started to be uploaded again. It was a quite strange problem, because as I told you, we had access to all the other functions of the app. Today one colleague of another city of Spain has called me (they are also using your app with several phones) and they had the same problem, and they have solved in the same way.

It is interesting. Can I ask you which cell phone operator do you use? I will try to solve the issue for the default APN address of this operator.

I have this section (camera) don't work. To set up the camera, will I have to subscribe to the paid version or am I mistaken?

The options are greyed out because the camera (that you are trying to set up) is currently offline or turned on. Before making any changes in the camera settings, please ensure that the camera is turned on.

I would suggest to find another charger. Change the charger and also change the charging USB cable.

This app doesn't have any backup of user's data. Everything what is store on your account is visible through the "monitor" phone. If some media is deleted, it is unfortunately deleted forever and cannot be "undeleted".

Normally, when you want to download some image in high resolution, you click on the image and the image appears as preview with white icons on the bottom of screen. One of the icons is "download" arrow icon. When you click on it, it should start to animate and after several seconds, you should receive this image in high resolution. The high-resolution image is stored at the camera and it takes several seconds until it is downloaded from the camera.

I didn't understand how to record a full-fledged video with sound.

To record with sound, open the app, click on the "gear" button - this opens the camera settings. Find item "Recording method", click on it. Then click on "Video clips". Then the camera starts to record with sound.

This app records detected movements as series of still images in high resolution by default. Images are silent, without sound. If you need sound, you can switch the camera to record detected movements as videos. Then there will be also sound. To switch to video mode, go to the camera settings -> Recording method -> select Video clips.

Lately I have been having problems with the detection report. It often happens that the detection only comes when I turn on your app on my phone (even after two hours). Previously, the report was immediate, even with the screen off. Do you know where the problem could be?

This is probably because your phone is running out of free memory (or you have a lot of apps running in the background). In this case, the phone will close some apps to free up memory. A closed app cannot not receive notifications (it does not receive notifications). Try restarting your phone first, maybe that will help.

Do I understand right that you want the camera to detect movements only when there is night? If that is correct, you can set up a scheduler, which turns on motion detection, for instance between 6 in the evening and 8 in the morning. Is that ok for you?

I have your app running and I keep getting "your battery is discharging" message. It is plugged in. How do I stop this?

Some phones periodically switch between discharging and charging battery even when plugged into a charger. I agree this can be annoying. You can turn off battery notifications if you go on your main phone to the phone settings -> Applications -> Security Camera CZ -> Notifications. There you can find an item "Battery notifications", turn it off.

There is no option to stay hidden and record to micro SD card.

This app writes recordings to SD card by default (if the SD card is present in the camera phone). This app isn't intended to be a hidden spy tool. This kind of apps is forbidden on Google Play.

I've been doing some tests in another phone, with the same behavior as with the other phone at the morning. Pictures were done but not uploaded. When I connected the phone to my hotspot the pictures started to be uploaded. Afterwards I disconnected the WiFi connection and wait for some movement. Events log detected the movements but didn't upload the pictures until I reconnected the phone to my hotspot. Also, I have found out that the phone isn't out of memory, and made a restart. 4G connection here is good, and I was inside a 5G zone in the morning with the other phone.

There must be some issue on the 4G/5G mobile network. If the phones send photos on WiFi, but not on 4G/5G network, there must be something on the 4G/5G. It is very strange.

I'm requesting your assistance to find out how I can prevent my camera from being shared, as an intruder could allow several people to see what's happening in my house.

You can check if someone else see your camera - go to the camera settings and choose "Sharing overview". You will see all sharings of your camera. You can long press on any sharing and delete it. Then the user will immediately lose access to your camera.
If you are not sure if someone else have access to your log in credentials, then the only solution is to delete the camera (you can do it remotely from the camera settings). Then, on the camera phone, start the app again and use different credentials and keep them safe.

Does Security Camera CZ work on OxygenOS on the OnePlus 10T? OxygenOS is based on Android. I am trying to find a phone with a high megapixel camera that I can find used for a good price. I found a used OnePlus 10T with a 50 MP camera for $61 U.S. If you have any ideas for phones that would work better, I am willing to listen. I think I want one with a lot of megapixels so I can zoom in and read license plates. Or maybe optical zoom.

This app works on all brands and phones as far as I know. From what you write I would strongly recommend the optical zoom. It is cheap and it can be used with any phone. Optical zoom always provides much better quality than digital zoom.

This app is really only for Android cell phones. It cannot be used with third party WiFi cameras.

Hi I need help fixing a problem I'm having, some of my cameras are detecting motion and then there's 2 of them that will detect motion upon the first time being setup but then they will stop and my connection is completely stable.

The behavior you describe is very strange - the app should work the same way on all phones. Try to "play" with the camera settings - set up a higher sensitivity. Also try to switch recording method - if you use still images recording switch it to video recording (and on the contrary).

Unfortunately, not. This feature (or parameter) isn't written in the phone’s specifications, so it is very hard to guess which models support this feature.

When you click the preview image of the camera, you will see a this still image in bigger format. when you click on the "video camera" icon, you will be connected to the camera and you will see the live video.

The problem is that the siren cannot be switched off. When the camera is switched off, I can turn off the siren on Monitor, but the switch is back on the next time I restart. I want to run the whole thing silently. How do I proceed?

Normally, the switch should hold its status. If it does not, it is because the camera is not turned on and online (connected to Internet). In this case, the new settings cannot be saved into the camera, so the switch returns to its previous status. This is valid for the siren settings and also for almost all other settings. For instance, you cannot store a new torch state, switch back and front cameras and so on. But - several months ago, another user wrote me about similar problem. So, there is a possibility that there is some rare bug in the app. I will double check the code for this possible bug. Meanwhile, when you will face the issue with the siren, I would appreciate if you check if other settings can or cannot be save neither, and if you let me know about the result.

When can you count on ONVIF camera support? You have great programmers, your software is the best, why don't you make camera support ONVIF?

I must say that I am still thinking about adding ONVIF support to the app. Nevertheless, I am still facing a dilemma about it. ONVIF only works on local network, while I want my app to work from anywhere (I want the camera to be accessible over internet). I know that third party IP cameras are also accessible over Internet, but this is because they implement some proprietary way how to do it (at least they use Internet servers that are provided by the manufacturer of the camera). If you know about some app that can work with third party IP cameras and can access them from internet (outside of local WiFi network) please let me know.

After further tests, it seems the issue is more with a UVC mic associated with the camera. I tried 2 different USB cameras with built in mics and no go. However, if I plug in a separate USB mic it works just fine. Could be something weird unique to Android TV 11. I'll just use a separate mic for this box as a workaround.

I must say that I didn't test the app in the Android TV and even with external cameras, so I can't give you any advice on this issue. I am very sorry.

I have installed your app on 3 devices. No matter which device is used as a monitor and which as a camera, the alarm siren can no longer be switched off. Restarting the device or app does not help, nor does reinstalling the app. How can this problem be solved?

The siren starts to sound from the camera each time when a motion is detected and continues to sound for the number of seconds that you chose in the camera settings. For instance - if you chose the siren to sound for 30 seconds, the camera will play the siren for 30 seconds from the last detected motion.
You should be able to immediately stop the siren if you go to the camera settings and turn the siren off.
I would recommend to set up the siren with some short time (for instance 5 seconds). You will see if this settings will be better for your use case.

I need your help, when I try to connect to any of my security cameras that are online it won't let me but the cameras still record motion events and save them, can you please help me fix this asap? I've restarted the cameras and it didn't change anything, I was able to connect to my cameras this morning

It sounds to me that there is some problem with internet connection on the side of your "monitor" phone or on the side of your cameras. Please would you restart your "monitor" phone and if you can, also restart the WiFi router that the cameras are connected to. Let me know of it helps or not.

This is because the app is currently available for Androids only. But you can accept the invitation on your PC or Mac and watch the camera using a web browser (Google Chrome). The webpage is optimized for both large screen and small phone's screen.

Great app. But, when I use a phone as a camera, it would be great if I had the battery level indicator of my phone whenever I need it. Sometimes it disappears from view. It seems like the battery level appears only when it's 100% charged or extremely low.

The battery level indicator is not shown when the battery is fully charged 100% and the charger is connected. In all other case the battery indicator is shown. You can force the battery indicator to be always shown if you go to the camera settings -> open "Battery overheat detection" -> mark "Show current battery temperature on the main screen".
