How do I turn off motion detection?
To turn off motion detection, open camera settings (using the gear icon) and from that menu turn the motion detection off. Or you can quickly turn off the camera entirely when you swipe (using your finger) over the camera preview image. When you swipe later again, the camera turns on again.
Authorization does not work on the third device; three hours writes an authorization error. What to do?
If the authorization fails, try to physically restart the phone. If the restart doesn't help, let me know the brand and type of the phone. Also include a screenshot of the error message if possible.
I have been using your application for a long time. In local mode to monitor a senior. As a camera I have an old mobile phone with Android 4 and as a display I have an old tablet with Android 6 and VLC. The only problem I have is the occasional outage, freezing of the transmission. I assume that the problem is not in your application, but in the instability of the LAN or the old OS. To verify that the transmission is OK, I sometimes turn on the sound and if it stops, I know that the transmission has failed. For the same reason, I turned on the time display in the video. If the time does not change for a long time, it has frozen. But the time is relatively little visible in the image, let me choose any display. This is my small proposal, but for me it is important to improve. It will somehow emphasize the time more, or insert some distinctive dynamically flashing element into the video. This element should make it clear that the transmission is OK.
I really chose the time and date letters to be quite small, considering the image size. The reason is that I assumed that VLC would be launched on a computer with a connected monitor. On a normal computer screen, the letters are just big enough. It never occurred to me that someone would watch via VLC on a tablet. The solution would probably be to play a video stream with a lower resolution, the letters should then look larger. Have you tried it? I would like to recover all of my deleted images on Thursday, December 7th 2023.
I am very sorry, but deleted images cannot be recovered.
Why does my movement setting always go off, no matter what I have there, from 1-16 it's on and not a minute, then it goes off again, then turn off the movement a little later, it doesn't pick up anything.
This can be only because the camera detected too many motions. Please note that the camera has a limit of 3000 detected motions per day. When this limit is reached, the camera stops motion detection until the next day. You can read more about this limit here https://securitycamera.cz/help/faqs.html#limit-img-count.
I just created my account this morning and then something wrong this afternoon so now it shows I don't have a camera. I had a camera this morning and had a video but now I cannot access it.
You probably used a different account on your camera and on your monitor phone. It is important to use exactly the same account on both devices. You can discover the account you used on your device when you go to the main menu - by clicking on the three-dashes-icon in the top left corner in the app on the main page. You can see the email address of your account in the top part of the menu.
There is no function to delete all videos.
You can long press on a day title to select all videos of that day. Delete selected videos using the trash icon. This is the easiest way how to delete recordings at once.
I would like to ask if it is possible to find out from which device the motion detection was turned off and whether images from the main panel of the application are saved somewhere when the camera is recording?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to find out from which "monitor" the motion detection was turned off. The application assumes that all phones connected to the application are authorized by access data, i.e. trusted. The application then does not distinguish from which "monitor" the command to turn off the motion detection would be sent. Images from the main panel are only previews and are not saved anywhere (the validity of the image is about 15 seconds, after which the image is deleted).
I tried to record and it saves this recording it to my local gallery but only while I have it open on the screen, is this normal? I would like to record it without draining or having my mobile phone being slaved.
Normally, by default, recordings are really stored to private cloud only. You can download from it only upon a request. If you want to have ALL your recordings downloaded and stored on your own place, you can switch the camera to store recordings to your Google Drive. Then, when you open your Google Drive, you will see a "Security Camera CZ" folder and there you will see all recordings from all your cameras. Is that ok for you?
I have just a small thing, probably a small thing for you. Some cameras of the mobile phone camera on the monitoring mobile can be moved, others write "this camera does not allow zooming". What must the camera on the capturing mobile meet for this to work?
In order to be able to zoom, the phone (camera) must support off-center zooming. Unfortunately, it is not easy to find out which phone can do this and which cannot. You can do this, for example, using a simple text application "Camera2 Info" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hvt.camera2test). After starting, find the line "android.scaler.croppingType". If this item is one, the camera supports off-center zooming. If it is zero, then the phone can only zoom to the center.
Your app is very well done and the most used function is free, I appreciate that. But I was wondering about a function I can't find in the app. Is it possible to take a photo every hour and store that photo to the monitor device? Like a motion capture function but not triggered by the motion. Like "take a photo every 30 minutes and store to master device" something like that. It will be useful to generate funny time lapse.
I have to say that I receive time by time a request for a time laps function. It wouldn't be a big problem to add such a function. The problem is that this function doesn't suit well to this app (the app is a security camera, not a time laps app), so I don't know where exactly add it while keeping the user interface clean and straightforward. But I am thinking about it. I would also like to have such a function.
I clicked the record button but can't find the file now? Where are those stored on my local device?
The recordings are by default stored in a private cloud, so the recordings are available anytime and from any phone where you sign in. You can download the recordings if you mark it (use a long press) and hit the download button. You can mark the whole day if you long press on the day title. You can also mark the whole bundle of recordings if you long press twice. As soon as recordings are marked, you can share them, download them etc.
